"It shouldn't matter but it does. As a female non white solo customer. I was a bit reluctant walking into a pub that I am not local to. Within minutes my fears were made redundant. Staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. My steak sandwich was excellent. The menu looked good especially for vegans so will be back with my family for their assessment. A must visit...well in my mind."

"Did the pub quiz, was excellent. Don’t get the host to pronounce Arnold’s last name. Definitely would recommend people to go down there. Family run, food was top notch, great local. I’m not often in that neck of the woods, but I’ll drop in next time I am 9.5/10"

"Ordered online and am vegan with multiple intolerances, including gluten, garlic and onion. They happily make post order adjustments as there isn't the option within deliveroo, never refuse to swap my chips for a side salad and leave onions from the burger, salad and remove the ketchup (contains onion. Today we forgot to ask if I could have vegan mayo as theirs is okay for my dietary needs, they ended up sending some in a tub anyway, with a little note on a card. Photo added. "The food here is amazing! We heard that the burgers were good so we decided to go on a weekday evening. We were not disappointed ! The atmosphere is great, they mix the traditional feel of the pub with the modern menu really well. The burgers were brilliant, and the starters/sharers were something else. Try the pork belly bites! The staff are very friendly. There's plenty of veg/vegan options too. We are fairly local but would travel to come here if we had to, it's that good."
